How to share my spreadsheet with other multi users?
Sharing in Excel 97/2000/XP/2003- Create or open the workbook you would like to share.
- Under the Tools menu, select "Share Workbook
- The "Share Workbook" window will appear. The "Editing" tab shows all users who currently have the workbook open (you should see your name in the list). Click the box to allow other users to access the workbook simultaneously.
- The "Advanced" tab allows you to adjust the options for sharing, such as how long changes are tracked, how often they are updated and what happens when information conflicts. Select the options you wish to implement and click "OK."
- A message box will appear confirming you would like to save the workbook. Click "OK." The word "Shared" should now follow the file name at the top of the window.
- Create or open the workbook you would like to share.
- Under the "Review" tab at the top of the page, click on the "Share Workbook" icon in the "Changes" group.
- As with previous Excel versions, the "Share Workbook" window will appear. The Editing tab shows all users who currently have the workbook open (you should see your name in the list). Click the box to allow other users to access the workbook simultaneously.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab to adjust the options. Select the options you would like to implement and click "OK."
- If it is a new workbook, the program will prompt you to save it. Enter the file name you wish to use and click "Save." If the workbook has already been saved, a message box will appear confirming you would like to save the workbook. Click "OK." The word "Shared" should now follow the file name at the top of the window.
- Start the Microsoft® Excel 2010 application.
- Open the file you would like to share, or create a new file.
- Switch to the "Review" tab.
- Click on the "Share Workbook" icon.
- Check the "Allow changes by more than one user at the same time." This would also allow the workbook to merge once users make any changes.
- Click on the "OK" button.
- Copy or save the file to the location which is accessible for future users.
Can Google Docs open my excel spreadsheet tmeplates file?Google Docs can open Excel Spreadsheet Templates, but just very basic function. You can use "upload" function and convert your Excel Spreadsheet to Google Doc. a few popular functions that exist in Excel but not in Google’s Spreadsheet software. Here are few examples:
- Pivot tables function
- CELL() and INFO() -- retrieve system information (OS, Platform, Office, Version) and cell properties (color, width, etc)
- CLEAN() Cleans a string of unprintable characters (specifically chars 0 through 31)
- CONVERT() Converts between various units (mass, length, force, etc)
- LOOKUP() Old function that looks up a value. This function exists for backward compatibility. HLOOKUP and VLOOKUP replaced it.

What version of Microsoft® Excel® tool do I need?
All our spreadsheet templates are compatible with Microsoft® Excel® 97 or higher.
How can I open the download files?
The download files are "zipped" to to minimize the file size. You will need some extraction software tools like WinRaR to open it after your downloaded.
When I open the file, it asks me if I want to enable macros. What should I do?
You need to click "Yes" to accept macros in order to run the tools.
When I open the file, it doesn't ask me if I want to enable macros. Therefore, the macros are disabled. What should I do?
You need to set your macro security settings to Medium (or Lower):
For Microsoft® Excel® 97-2003: Tools>> Options >> Security >> Macro Security, and selecting the 'Medium' level.
For Microsoft® Excel® 2007: Click on the top left ribbon button and choose Excel® Options >> Trust Center >> Trust Center Settings... >> Macro Settings and select 'Disable all macros with notification'.
